Don't know if you figured this out yet, but I work down on base (Pax River) and I know a BM2 who maintains the mercruisers on their port boats. He does lots of work on the side and I usually pay him...

I've had that alarm before too. The system Maxim uses monitors temp, press and oil level in that lower unit. Not sure what the exact values are that make it trip, but this narrows it down anyway. ...
