engine timing thunderbolt 5
when slowly accelerating the engine bogs down and sometimes backfires ,
my question is ...
the timing cover has a single groove and no numbers and is supposed to be set at 8 degrees before T D C ....

I replaced the starter and solenoid . Replaced...
I replaced the starter and solenoid . Replaced the fuel pump . reglassed the inner transom . reinstalled the gimble housing with a new transom plate . hooked up all the grounds that were hanging ....

How about your motor .What's happening there ? There were many problems with the shabby installation M & M did .No grounds were connected to the OD , they put large washers between the transom plate...

repower (from small leak}
I had a leak in the transom and had to pull the engine to fix it . apparently I didn't properly winterize . My 3 year old engine block was cracked . also the inner transom was not perfectly flat so...
