Rarely. We stay out most weekend and run the generator often. I like the wind pushing the the fumes away from the boat.We also like the breeze coming into the cabin through the half open hatches.

When we use to trailer a boat I would lay a clean white sheet out and roll them up on a large noodle. The sheet kept the plastic from touching.

I agree with Mike - mag for fresh. Aluminum, and especially zinc, are more noble than magnesium. The magnesium decays so that your aluminum stern drive doesn't.

Yes it cranks fine, will fire up for 1 second then die as if it is starved for fuel. The last to trips down the lake it would not start have it warmed up and set for awhile. Starts and runs great...
