Default Zinc anodes

Hello!
New to this forum. Just bought a 1992 18' Maxum Bowrider last night. It is in super condition, and has been trailered and stored indoors most of it's life. I will be using it at the Jersey shore, and it will be in the water for 3 months. I want to make sure it is protected properly. What do I need to do as far as corrosion protection? Where do I need to place zincs? Where do I need to look for the ones already there? Any suggestions about bottom antifouling? It has never been painted and looks brand new... I almost hate to paint it
Any suggestions or observations would be most appreciated!

Many thanks.

welcome to the zoo....are you going to be in salt or fresh water.....first off..do you have fwc..??..freshwater cooling...fresh water cooling is a definite need to have if in saltwater....if so there is a pencil zinc in the heat exchanger that needs to be replaced every so often...the rams of the outdrive hace 2 zinc's on them that need to be replaced also....on the front of the cavitation plate on the outdrive there is a zinc...huge plate one...it also depends on what drive you have too....might wanna tell us which drive you have.....

that's about it...as for keeping in the water for 3 mos...some will say that's not an issue..but make sure it's really really waxed well rather than bottom painting it...however if you pull it often and pwr wash the hull ...it should be ok....

others will chime in and add to my post...

What engine do you have? We would love to see some pictures.

Here are charts to help you choose the correct anodes.

It is a 4.3L V-6 Alpha 1 outdrive. There is no FWC, so I am planning to flush the system after each use. I am told that there is a kit I can install to access the system with a hose connection. The boat will be used in the bay, not in the ocean. Do you think this is accptable?
I'm not sure how to post pictures, but I would be happy to try if you can direct me to instructions. I'm going to try anyway.[http://images.craigslist.org/0101110...06200bb3c.jpg]

I'm a fresh water only boater. So, I can't really help you with the flushing protocol.
