Default Window screw track weatherstrip

The screw track weatherstrip is toast on our boat. There is currently a foam strip in there. I don't now if it is the original. Has anyone replaced this and if so with what?

Google Taylor Made Windshield Screw Cover Foam.
It’s available from a number of sources

#1630 6' (1/2" x 3/4")
#1631 8' (5/8" x 1-1/4")

There are also rub rail inserts that fit some of the windshield frame tracks. They are available in several colors and give a more finished look and you can leave the foam in place if you wish.

I did google Taylor Made. Unfortunately no in store distributors here in Canada. Some online product. A little pricy especially if I need 22' cut and it can't be returned if it does not fit. I am going to see what the hardware stores around here have in the way of weather stripping perhaps.

Postie, I can't recall where, but I remember seeing a thread discussing alternatives. Try searching these forums or just on google. maybe use keywords including windshield, trim, cover, boat. I've heard of someone using black soaker hose since it's UV protected. I need to get some myself, but it's easier to find in the US. Good luck.

I think I may have found a solution at a local building supply store. Unfortunately it only comes in gray. Not sure how it will hold up over time but our boat sits on a trailer undercover when not in use. Besides at this price who cares if it has to be replaced every year.
