fear not!..... water tempture is a icy cold 69 degrees, and the weather tomorrow is going to be 57 and sunny.

back in the 40's they raped the marshland along the bay, and dregged canels for track housing.... wild life had to move out.......

the ocean water moderate the long island tempture, if you look at a map, we are about 100 miles due east into the alantic and the whole island is less then 30 miles wide at the fat part, being about 4 to 8 feet about sea level. The curve of the earth makes it look like its pointng north, but Manhatten island points east/west.

i look foward to posting my next 75 degree boat ride, 2011 not over yet! The Gantlet is thrown down!... guy from bermuda...no comment nessary...

my engine is fresh water cooled, so no chance of that frezzing.

There is a t-connector infont of the engine above the gas tank that you can unscrew the cap, and blow out your water lines with an air compressior. Also, my wather heater has a drian down valve on it, its plactic and white.

I open my sea water strainer cap in the engine compartment, and blew air from the exterior A/C outlet, to drain the A/C cooling coil of water.

So, out side of the raw water in the heat exchanger, I'm almost winterized.

I uses ht pink in the shower drain, and a little thru the toilet.

The pink just makes the fresh water smell so bad all year, i'd rather use the air compressior.

Since I've done this with my RV for years, the boat is no diffrent.

Well, except for the water pump, fuel pump, heat exchanger, Manifolds and Risers (I suspect). I would suspect that only the block itself has A/F running through it. However, I suspect that the warmer water temps has a better chance of preventing freezing than if the boat were on land at this point. Like SP said, that won't last long and it's not getting any warmer. I'm still jealous, though!
