Default what's new?

Whats new guys? I am finally back in the water back at my old marina that we left last year, we came back.

If you remember I had port engine problems last year well I got the full treatment tune ups done to both engines by the mechanics at the marina these last couples of weeks. Also some surprises....both coils were shot and had to replace the port engine starter because of the positive wire connection becoming loose and arcing quit working.

Again another surprise they found was that both chokes were wired open. No wonder it was a cold beast to start all the the time.

Now it is a hot blooded racing machine. It was a bittersweet launch without my second in command by my side but my life will continue and the memories I will never forget my wife Susan.

Now with all this rain that we have had the Illinois river is almost up to 25 ft which usually when the Coast Guard shuts the river traffic down. Father's day weekend looks like I will not be boating.

But glad to be back!

Roger

Glad you're back! Why do they shut the river down if it gets too high?

Roger good to hear from you. I am sure boating will bring mixed feelings for you of joys you had with Susan and times that will be missed, however this is part of life and when we need to look towards family and friends to help us through. God bless from your boating family and glad to hear the boat is ship shape.

hang in there and keep boating! so sorry to hear about losing your wife. We've gotten the same rain systems just east of you in Cleveland and it's kept us at the dock a bit.
tip of the hat to Golden State, Cavs in 2016!

Yes moving on.......the river gets shut down if it get over 25 feet because of wake damage cause by barge traffic.
