Question What Mercruiser model do I have??

I have a 1999 Maxum Mercruiser 1900 with a Chevy 4.3 engine with a 2bbl carb. What model Mercruiser is this??? An Alpha, Bravo, I, II,??????? No other documentation other than the title. I need to know for replacement parts. Thanks to anyone who knows!

Most likely the drive is an Alpha 1 Gen 2. To verify it’s not a Bravo there shouldn’t be a belt driven raw pump on the starboard side of the engine.

Not the best picture but the pump would be on the lower left when looking towards the front of the engine. For the Alpha the pump is in the mid section of the drive.

Try looking on the Mercruiser website here https://www.mercurymarine.com/br/en/...ners-resources

It will let you download a service manual and if an older engine there is a contact number.

That site has a download for an OWNERS Manual. That is very, very different from a Service Manual. Mercury/Mercruiser has always, and will likely continue, to charge for the actual Service Manual.
