Default Water leak.

I am trying to figure out a water leak on my port engine. The amount of water is not much but noticeable underneath the engine . I had a new impeller housing put on thinking that was the problem but still get water.

Is there someway to pressurize the system or put dye in it? I run the engine and get down in the engine compartment and feel around with no such luck.

Any suggestion?

Mix up water with dye in one of those winterization kits to run through the system.

Do you get water only when running the engine? May be a leaking blue plastic drain plug.

It collects on the right side of the stringer, not in the middle of the bilge. If facing the stern it's the left side of the engine.

Ok on that side is the raw water pump and in/out hoses, one drain plug, and freeze plugs in the engine block.

When you had the new impeller and housing installed was the bearing and seal inspected? If this is the issue you should be able to see it when the engine is running.

Look for a chafing hose. One that is in contact with a sharp object.
