Default Was Fire retardant resin used on a 46 foot Maxum

Does anyone know what kind of resin is used in the engine room of the Maxum.
Really appreciate any input.
Thank you

The coast guard is asking this question... If flame retarding resin was used we won't need to add insulation in the engine compartment.

I would assume the answer is no. My 2800 has insulation. Even if you don't need it, it deadens the noise and you'll still appreciate it. If it cost more to use a fire retardant resin, then the answer is going to be no.

I deleted your duplicate thread.
