Default Vibration In bravo 3

1998 2800 scr 7.4 l bravo 3

Just started the 2nd season with our boat. No issues at all last season
Over the winter I installed a prop anode and misc maintainence. I did not pull the drive though.

This season I have a slight vibration when coming up on plane. Not even sure if it's a concern or not.
The only thing I did over winter was install a prop anode which it didn't have before. I did index the probs with front blade at 12:00 and back blade at 6:00
I know there are many things that can cause this but looking for any advice or tips on searching it out.
When I bought the boat last season I was told the bellows and gimbal bearing where changed out on 2012.
Thanks. BB

Vibration is not good as it may cause the prop shaft to wobble and wear the seal.

I would start with the two things you changed.

Remove the anode and see what happens, if no change return props to how they were before.

The prop anode requires a new special prop nut that didnt have a nylon locking washer built into it. Possibly just a loose prob nut. Going to check all of those other things and unfortunately I have to pay to have to lifted out. Certainly don't want to risk and damage so has to be done.
Thanks.

Default Props

I was able to trim the drive all the way up in trailer mode and access the props without pulling the boat.
Boths props hit 12:00 position at the same time. I indexed them and vibration. Is gone. Surprised bravo 3 manual makes no mention if this.

Glad you were able to resolve it without much work or time.

Merc actually mentions 'indexing' the Bravo III. Though they will always coincide at some point. Now, don't they coincide at 2, or 3 instead of 12? Is there really a difference?
