The reason we are hauling out so soon is because we are getting our kitchen remodeled the 15,16, and 17 of this month. The weekend after that we have a trip planned to Chicago.

The kitchen contractor texted me yesterday that he hurt his knee and had to move all this back a week........the weekend that we will be gone to chicago. I'm so freckin pissed I could scream!!! I was going to be his laborer to save alittle money so I have asked to see if he can start the monday after we get back from chicago. Have not heard back.

We were in charge of gutting the kitchen to have everything ready for him by the 15th. Glad we didn't get that done ahead of time. Atleast I will have nice weather to put the boat away for the season.

Oh well such is life......

Roger

hope it all works out Roger....it's tough seeing your boat up on a sling and out of the water...

Wow, that is a lot of vertical distance between the travel lift and the water!!! Mine is already hauled winterized and wrapped as well. Oddly, we're also a few weeks out from a complete kitchen remodel. Though, I'm doing most of the work myself, so the only contractor the admiral can yell at is me.

Good Luck with that kitchen...... Chief Contractor Mr.Shrew.

If ours doesn't get started soon I'll be living on that boat of ours.

And yes it was an old sand pit and the marina is great for keeping the wind a non issue when docking!

Count me into the ranks of those doing a kitchen overhaul, though I am not starting on it until after the 1st of the year. I'm doing the vast majority of the work myself, leaving only the installation of the hardwood floor in more experienced, and faster, hands. It will be a complete gut. Will take loads of photos to share.

hai rens i know that is hermenzijl wants to have 79.000 euro, because i phoned them, it's a 2009, but i also spoke to the owner of the boat (because he put an add on botente koop) and he is willing to sell it for 62.500. he told me that he also has the ship in meditation at hermenzijl..... so hermenzijl just as a broker want's to make 17.000 euro profit on that boat, just for making an advertisement and put the boat on their webside........these guys from hermenzijl are f.....g crazy....thats what the are.....

but any how thanks for the ring.......

greatz, ed

today i will bring her into a deep sleep untill half march....get her out of the water on the trailer, clean the bottom ad tail.... get the boat empty,... take all the food and drinks back home (enough for a party with 20 people), clothes, towels etc.....snap out the carpet, and clean it at home with the high pressure machine, .....(with a little bit of soapie) this weekend will be nice weather so it will dry......winterize the engine....take all the water out.....put antifreeze into her body, check the oil levels, change the filters....no i won't do that..... has been done last year..... took her out only for about 40 hours, so it's not necessary .....spray the engine with silicon or vasoline spray, also the rubber from the tail to the hull (that will keep it soft and flexible).....empty the watertank and clean it, take the prop off, check the anodes,.... lock her to the trailer, lock the trailer around a big tree, put the winter blanket over her nose and say to her........nighty, night.....don't let the bad bugs bite .......and then i'm ready for the hospital.....but after that.....as soon as possible twice a week the boat check (with some drinks at the harbour cafe), and if i can't because of the result of the operation, i'll kick the captain to the harbour........wish it was march 2012 already, this summer was way to short for all of us........

so to all of you i say,........ ........

greatz, ed (speak to you tomorrow)
