Trailer Recall - 1800SR3

I assume most will know, ... the weight of 4.3L variant of the 1800SR3 actually exceeds the loading weight of the Karavan Trailer supplied.

US marine (Maxum) have initiated the rework notice to have larger wheel & tyres fitted - raising trailer load rating to 3335Lbs.
Just wondered if anybody has had this done yet ?

Basic info is that with standard tyres & wheels the trailer was rated 2859lb ... whereas an 1800SR3 with a full tank of fuel comes in at 2885lb.

The new set up will be ST205/75R LRD on 545 wheels - and a new load label for the trailer.

The cost of the work is free for registered boats/trailer

Unbelievable...after 5 flat tires, tire upgrades, multiple service visits....I think you have the answer to my trailer dilemma. How do you initiate the recall work?

Contact your dealer and advise them you want trailer recall .... you need to supply boat & trailer serial numbers ...
I faxed my warranty card direct to Maxum and they arranged it for me ... although it should be the dealer that does this.

They even shipped the new wheel & tyres to the UK for me at no cost ... so they will carry out the swap OK.
