Default Tire pressure

Good day
I have a 2000 19' maxum woth an escort trailer . The tire spec plate has worn off so i was looking for some info on tire pressure.
Im running 60 psi cold would that be correct ?

Hey Nate, have a look at the sidewall of the tire itself and it will be stamped in the rubber the recommended operating pressure. It will depend if you have proper trailer tires or if they at any point have been changed out to a light truck tire.

I will add to my comment to check the date stamp of the tire as well, if they are getting close to 4-5 years I would replace them as well as the rubber begins to degrade and this can happen from the inside out with the laminates separating making it difficult to know until the tire blows and based on the length of your boat I assume you have a single axle trailer so this happening can be quite dangerous.

I have 21 feet boat with double axel I use 48 PSI.
I like to be soft ride. 60 PSI is maximum of your tires and is to hard in my opinion.

The sidewall of the tire only gives the max psi rated for the tire. The weight of the vehicle or trailer and it's load is what dictates the recommended Psi. If you go by the max psi on the tire you are overinflating your tires.

60 psi seems extremely high.
