Default The Season is over

I decided to over react and haul the boat with the potentially impending hurricane. We weren't happy about it, but we keep our boat at a rough marina and a storm like this will push 3ft. waves into the marina. With storm surge and high winds it's tough to keep the boat from hitting the dock. The travel lift at the marina is under repair so I had to hire a transport company to pick my up at a local ramp and drive me back to the marina. the cost makes it prohibitive to relaunch.

We pulled 4 boats yesterday at the public boat launch. All I can say is, you guys who trailer have a new level of respect from me. Those ramps are CRAZY!!!!! If I had to do that everytime I boated, I don't know if I would boat that frequently.

I hate the end of the seaon

Well that does officially suck. Stay safe from the storm and start your winter projects......Were still 6 to 8 weeks from shutting her down but I'm already pissy and depressed. Fall time in Kansas is awesome, temps are moderate, weather is great......unfortunately it's followed by winter which sucks and lasts way to long.

I don't blame you for a second, especially with 3 foot waves against the boat tied up in the marina. That can never be good. You and yours be safe!
