Default Televisions on board

Inverters are more and more ubiquitous, does anyone see a problem if I plug a 17 watt A/C Led TV (small like 19") into my boat inverter (for watching in the cabin of my 23 ft 2300 scr)? The reason I am asking is that I notice my radio/'cassette' player is a Marine radio - meaning apparently designed to be in a boat. Why would that make a difference than - say - being in a car? Is it moisture/dampness that might be an issue? Cars can/are in more volatile weather conditions (from very hot to freezing cold and defrosted often). The other reason I would like the tv is because in the old days i would have to rig up an antenna and all the wiring involved - now i can throw 30 movies/shows on a usb key and go nuts..makes for a good way to pass the rainy day away.

I installed a Sony flatscreen in my 2755 SCR more than 2 years ago and it's just fine. Winter storage on the hard - 40 below F, Summer in the water - 100+ F. No problems.

I do not see any issues with using the TV on the inverter.

A boat radio will see the same temperature extremes that your car will plus high shock loads and moisture which is why they make marine units.

Just because you are not using the boat over the winter the components are still exposed to the temps.
