Outdrive boats are safe up to about needles. Jets can go from havasu up to Laughlin/bullhead. There are some pretty good camping spots, just have to watch the river flow. The river varies in elevation about 2/3 feet in as little as 12 hrs. Lake havasu is much slower in changing elevation.
