Default Taking Delivery - Can you ID this drive?

Finally taking delivery of my new-to-me 2001 3300SCR. For those of you that helped me out on previous posts thank you very much. Moving up from a single engine 2300SC to the much larger twin screwed boat makes me nervous. Picking up in the Gunpowder area of the Chesapeake and cruising it up to Havre de Grace which is a little more than I wanted but my two long time boater relatives are both on vacation! Any last words of wisdom I am open. Thanks again. BTW for those of you who followed my other posts the broker will likely not be at the delivery so my questions will likely go unanswered. Also, still don't know correct engine SN's! Also, the surveyor listed the drives as Alphas, the listing said Bravo ii's and the closing paperwork says Bravo iii's. Can anyone ID from the attached picture?

I can tell you they are NOT B III's.

Rip they are BII's.

Getting her from gunpowder cove Marinemax? Right in my neck of the woods.

What day are you running her up the bay? The weekend is calling for mid 60's

Hey Mike! Actually it is in a private lift near MarineMax. Although that is where we did the haul out. Picking her up Friday around 8am. Extremely apprehensive about docking her in a slip!!

did you get any time running the boat. I recommend once you into the gunpowder that you move off to the side and practice moving the boat around at slow speed so you can see how she handles. A plus with twins but something to learn is leave the wheel centered and just use the shifters to turn the boat. i.e. Bump the Port engine in reverse and so on. To make her turn on a dime put one in forward and the other in reverse.

Thanks Mike. I have been reading a lot about it that's for sure but I also know that there is nothing like actual practice so yes I intend to get out in the bay and play quite a bit. Thanks again for the advice.

Even with countless hours of operation under my belt, adjusting to proper twins (outboard twins tight together aren't the same) has been a learning curve. Have to slap my hand sometimes to not touch the wheel.

Rip ....once you get the hang of it ....you will be amazed how easy docking can be. My 3000 scr is a piece of cake to move around.

Thanks for asking Mike. It went well. Got off right at high tide since the seller had a hard time getting off his lift at any other tide. My wife and I made it out of the cove and up the bay. I hate to admit it but I docked it with the steering wheel like a single engine boat. With that said once I was half way into the slip I did use the dual engines to make the fine adjustments to the bow and stern. Got her tied up and the marina was fairly quiet so that helped too. I still have a million questions! I'm trying to decide what I should throw out to the user group and which ones I should just learn on my own. thanks again for asking. I am sure you will hear from me soon.

Glad to hear it went well. Do not feel bashful and ask away.

Hope she brings you plenty of trouble free joy.

Asking is free. Often, learning on your own can be expensive.
