Default Storing boat on trailer

Recently purchased a proper trailer for my maxum 2900se, Triaxle , what is the best ay to limit damage to boat, trailer
When storing for the winter?
What I am interested in is will backing trailer on to a cament surface be enough .
Does the weight need to be taken off the trailer springs for extended storage ? And why

Spud.....I have a 3000 in which I store it on a triple axle trailer for the winter and other than blocking it with cement blocks instead of the trailer jack that is about it.

Before the boat goes on make sure the tire pressure is corect and the carpet on the bunks are good.

Are all the bunks in the right position ( in between the chimes)?

Is the a/c water inlet not resting on a bunk?

Wouldn't worry about the weight of the boat that is it's job.

Might look into some tires covers to protect from ther UV rays.

Last.... were ever is trailer sits lower units all the way down with the props off and a garbage bag around the bottom skeg and up around the prop shaft to cover. Use blue tape to hold it.

That should help you ..........

i pay a hauler $150 to move my boat less then a mile from the ramp and block it in my yard, which is about 300 ft from the canal it floats in.

I don;t have a tow vehicle to pull it on a trailer, and would not want to see the trailer all year long, dry rot tires and the lot.

Question is, why do you want a trailer?

I have a trailer because:
1: I am not paying a marina for storage.
2:I am not paying a marina for storage.
3: I have in door storage for under $500.00 because I am not at a marina!

That is why I have a trailer....

Sitting on the trailer should be fine. If possible you might want to periodically rotate the tires, so they don't sit on the same spot for extended periods of time. This is as simple as moving the trailer forward 1 ft., then later back 2 ft. etc. Regularly check tire pressure. As BiggerSeagar said, prop the tongue with some cinder blocks and don't forget to chock the wheels. You could jack the trailer and place cinder blocks and a piece of pressure treated wood underneath and have the fram sit on that. I'd be concerned about not distributing weight evenly and placing stress on the trailer frame improperly.
