Default Sling points for a 2400 SCR

Anyone know where the proper sling lift points should be on a 2400SCR? Need to get the boat off the trailer to paint, etc. Best regards, Mel

Happy Thanksgiving Mel! Sling points are in front the engine for the stern and a foot or two in front of the steering wheel for the bow strap.

If you are sliding the boat off the trailer to block it is completely different. Use cement blocks for your height and plywood between boat and blocks. Final position on flat, level ground for your blocks should be at your transom corners and your bow keel.

Hope this helps

Roger

Hey Roger; Thanks for the info. Could you clear up where I should place the rear sling? Hope you had a good Thanksgiving.

Thanks Mel ...I did.

The rear sling should be somewhere underneath the front of the engine for an i/o application.

Again if you are having this done at a marina the operator will know .

Default thanks

Thanks much. I have a car lift that should do the job. The arms extend far enough to do the job. Best regards Mel

Line-up the rear sling with the bulkhead in the forward part of the engine compartment that separates the engine compartment from the cabin. There are usually tags to mark the spot. The tags sometimes fade. Are there rectangular white placques with no writing on them? Or possibly they were removed. There would be 4 tiny holes filled in in a rectangle pattern about 1/2" tall by 1 1/2 -2 inches wide.
