Replacing seats with Captain's Chair - 1995 Maxum 1800 SR bow rider

Hi - we have a 1995 Maxum 1800 SR bow rider.

We want to remove one of the lounge seat and put in a captain's chair. When we take the upholstered seats out, it looks like the base for these seats is a solid piece of fiberglass. We thought it would be a wood frame that we could easily remove.

Are we missing something, or is this something that we won't be able to do?
