Default Replacing hatch

Our new to us 3100se needs the round 20in Jim Black escape hatch replaced due to broken hinge pins. How difficult is this? I've removed the screws and obviously hatch is still secured by sealant. I didn't want to break old hatch or fiberglass to get it out by prying to much. Has anyone removed a hatch like this and what are the "tricks".
Thanks all
