Refrigerator problem

Refrigerator works with shore power but not on 12v when not using shore power. Did before. I'm thinking it could it be a 12v fuse. Don't know where fuse is. Under dash fuses or behind battery switches where my toilet macerator fuse was. I can check all in both places. Just need to know if blown fuse could be possible even when shore power works.

There is a fuse on the back of the fridge. It will need to be pulled out.

Many fridges have a low voltage cutoff on DC to prevent them from completely discharging the battery. If it has a danfoss compressor you can set the voltage level or remove it completely (google the manual from the model
Number). You might want to check your batteries, if they are weaker than before this could be causing your issue.

There is also a hysteresis in the circuit meaning the voltage has to come back up above the original shut off level. For us, it meant that the fridge would work on DC until we flushed the electric toilet. The voltage drop would trip the fridge but then it didn’t come back up high enough to turn back on. For instance … if the fridge is getting 12v and drops to 11v during the flush, it may have to come back up to 12.5 to turn back on, which didn’t happen until we plugged in to shore power.

This is on My 2002 3300scr Maxum. I will pull the fridge, I just thought maybe a 12v fuse might be somewhere special. Had problem with toilet and couldn't find bad fuse. Finally learned on here, that it was behind the battery switches. What a mess that was, I ended up putting an access panel under the seat. Several fuses. Don't know what they are all for, but who would ever think they would put fuses there when most are under dash. But just to make sure, it could have a blown 12v fuse but still work on 120V. Right?

Turn everything that is 12V on, then pull one fuse at a time. You will figure out what is what. This job is easier with one or two helpers to scramble to see what turned off with each fuse. Start by making a map of the fuse panel on paper, then write down each fuses purpose.

Shrew. Pulled fridge, no fuse checked stupid place behind battery switches, all fuses good, checked under dash and while checking fuses, found wire off terminal. Yeah that was the fuse. Good Idea for marking fuses. Thank You
