Default Proud New first boat owner

Hello everyone, My name is Ernest and i have just purchased my first boat. It is a 92 Maxum 2100 SR. I absolutely love this boat. I have only had it on the water once and it was a dream. I look forward to many more hours on the water with my family creating memories. Here are some pics.

Congrats on the new boat Gixxere, nothing like that first time on the water when everything goes as planned.

Looks like it's in pretty good shape for a '92.

California Boating...........enjoy..........but have you taken a safe boating course? It is something the whole family can do together. Also think about a vessel safety check on your beautiful new boat so that you know you have all the required Coast Guard stuff on board. Go to www.usps.org for info.

And welcome to the website....enjoy that boat!

That is one nice looking boat. Looks like the previous owner took great care of her. Great work on finding that one.

Bigger, I have not taken the boating safety course but plan too real soon. I have been on boats for the past 10 years with friends and family so that gives me a little peace of mind but it never helps to have more traingin and increased skills.

I am adding a dual battery system to the boat this weekend. One thing i found is that the speedo does not work. I took the tube off and the back on the outdrive and tried the tiny dril bit trick but no luck. Do i need to disconnect it from the speedo and blow compressed air through the line? Other then that she is a dream of a first boat.

I hope you took no offense gixxere.....I teach the classes for the Power Squadron and just trying to help a new boater. Great idea and it will save you money on your insurance premiums.

Try the air thing up at the outdrive connection with someone at the speedometer connect in the cockpit and see if if they feel the air and if not you have a blockage or if you do feel the air the guage could be bad.

Enjoy

Thanks Bigger...........no offense taken. I have tried the air up the hose from the outdrive and my gauge does bounce. i believe the gauge itself is bad.
