Very cool Ed - the few days I spent in the Netherlands many years ago was most enjoyable.

How does one navigate a bridge like this? Do you dock and operate it yourself?

yes you are right, dock the boat, think it all over again, and then decide to go to another direction like we did............

hai tommy,

we spend almost 3 weeks on the water and made about 400 km i think (could be a little bit more) but the motor has runed about 55 hours by 1200/1500 rpm thats about 8 km an hour......so 400/450 km ( aproxx 250/270 miles) we moved like 2 turttles over the water....nice and slow......sowe did see everything we want to see...

great pic's ed...man...260 mi. at no wake zones is sloooooooow-oooh!!....I was going to ask ..is there no place to hit planing speeds??..dang..that would drive me nuts...but the pic's are wonderful and the country is beautiful...thanks for the pic's..

hai....Pup......

the route we made has plenty of places to speed, but i was'nt in the mood for racing this time. it was the first time for my wife that she went on a holiday by boat, so i wanted to make it as wunderfull for her as it could be. i am an experient boater for 30 years (with my ex wife) en just two years with inge....so i wanted here to have the feeling to say next year.....come on pack your things, we're going on a holiday by boat again.......

and with our gas prices as i all ready explained in an other topic speeding for longer times is no fun at all anymore......(cry cry) in amerika USD 2.54 a gallon (i saw on internet), in holland USD 7,49 a gallon on the road and 8.66 in the harbours.

so in holland it is about 4 times more expensive to fill our tanks....(cry cry)

man ed..that makes for an expensive holiday for sure.....well.....our gas at this moment in our marina is 3.94....wish it would go down...but either way...you win the price war for gas prices..
