Default New Owner Questions: replacement cabin lights & strange alarm

Hi all, new owner of a 2001 33 SCR. Need some help, i've got a few questions for the group. A few of our cabin lights have burned out (not the bulbs), where can i get replacements? Need the round ones near the galley as well as one of the rotating lights from the aft cabin w/ the rocker switch on the side? Appreciate any help.

Second question. We are getting this errant alarm when we get up to 3000 rpm's. Temp, oil all check out but the alarm is constantly going off, it does go off after a while but comes back on for now apparent reason. Wondering if anyone has experienced similar issue.

thanks Again: Peter/Heather

Welcome aboard

Try Greatlakesskipper for the lights

The alarm uses switch sensors that are separate from the helm gauge sensors.
The alarm can be triggered by one of three things, low gear lube, overheat, low oil pressure. Once again these are not connected yo the helm gauges so they be faulty even though the gauges look good.

Is the level in the gear lube reservior ok? Very common reason for the fault you mention.

i'll check the gear lube, it hasn't been burning oil. How would you know if it's running hot, it the temp light is not reporting?

Use an IR temp senser to take reading directly on the engine.

I am not saying the engine may be running hot I am suggesting one of the alarm sensors may be bad triggering the alarm if the gear lube level is correct.

You would need to isolate the fault to which sensor by disconnecting them one at a time to see if the alarm stops.
