Default new maxum owner

hi guys
i'm from holland and quitting the fast car thing (getting to old for it)
yust traded in my wife's porsche (gna gna ) to buy myself a boat
after owning a bowrider (bayliner) i needed something more handy.
something i could spend more time in
had the choice for a bayliner 2355 or a maxum 2400scr
bought the last one (2001 with brand new engine).
will have it deliverd today
can somebody tell me if i have made the better choice ?
what is the quality difference between bayliner or maxum
btw
owned a maxum before and broke it riding waves at sea (to much to fast)
greets rens

hai rens

at last another dutch guy on this forum, dont know were you live but maybe we'll meet each other sometime somewere, the quality is the same, only maxum is a little bit more luxery with stainless steel details etc....as you know maxum no longer produce boats since 2009 any more, but parts are still easy to get if you need something you can ask it here and youll get the answer within 1 or 2 days...... take a look at www.maxumboats.com you can get al kind of information about their last models but also information about parts and serial numbers going back till i believe 1993. if you want more information give me a private message, than we can talk in dutch.....

greatz, ed

well...a maxum is a bayliner with lipstick.....and high heels....maybe a leather dress....uffdah!!...

first off....welcome to the zoo...
maxum is basically the same hull and all just a little nicer fittings....stainless steel where on a bayliner it was plastic...etc...engines..drives...wiring ...etc..are all the same.....

the boats handle the same...get the same mileage and will take way more water than you will....
so...one word of advice...never approach the dock faster than your willing to crash into it....
always worked for me.....
