Default new maxum 3100

I was told that Maxum has redesigned the 3100 for 2009. Has anyone heard about this new style.

Default New Maxum 3100

Inspector-
you can actually see the comments from one of the forum members looking att he "sticky" topic on the new 3100. (http://www.maxumownersclub.com/forum/vi ... .php?t=685)

In the interest of disclosure, my comments below are biased since I work for Maxum. One of the forum leaders asked me to respond to your post.

We will officially launch the boat (brochures, web site updates, magazine reviews, etc.) with the new model year at the end of this month.
MSRP for the base boat will be $176,824. While this is nearly $25k more than the previous 3100 SE, you get a lot for that:
Standard:
All new euro-influenced design
31” longer, 1” wider, roomier
Walk-around side trials
New interior color options
Standard Vintage Decor (stainless portlights, solid surface counters, teak/holly floor)
Standard 19" TV in the salon, optional 15" TV in mid berth
Dedicated bottle and glass storage (wine bottles & glasses)
Sleeps 4 adults without converting dinette
Larger fuel, water, & holding tanks
Electric engine hatch lift
dual 30A shore power standard
Optional:
Axius Option (Joystick docking)
496 MAG engine option (55 MPH @ WOT!)
Stereo with 1GB digital storage option
Cockpit refrigerator (not just icemaker) option
Cockpit grill option (like the 2900 SE)
Inverter option
Radar option
Private mid-berth stateroom option
Real Teak surface swimstep option
Underwater Lights option
We here at Maxum are very excited about the new 3100SE. I'm not sure where you are located, but dealers in the UK, Germany, Turkey, and several in the US will all have a new 3100SE to see by the end of this month. Many are already sold, but you should at least be able to get on one if you live anywhere close to a dealer that ordered one of the fist units.
Thanks for your interest, and I'll watch this thread daily to see if you have any follow-up questions.

With the increase in size the new 3100 SE is almost as big as the 3200 SCR or 3300. Sounds like it is going to be a really nice boat.

I just received the September issue of Boating magazine. Kevin Falvey tested the 3100SE and wrote a two page report.
