Default New knee and ready for boating

Well I'm now 6wks into having a full knee replacement and starting to get around fairly well. New water heater in the garage and ordering the new pump for the head. Marina is going to replace Bellows, hoses, trim senders, bearings and all goodies that go with it. Oh yeah both outdrives. I want to do both and be done with it for a few years. I am mechanicaly able to do this myself but one knee might be a problem so I'll just bite the bullet. I'm told around $1000 each drive. Does this sound about right, high or low.

Hey Mike hope you have a speedy recovery. I had knee surgery last November for a torn meniscus and doing well but kneeling on it is still sensitive where the incision was.

Regarding the cost to rebuild the transom assemblies that price seems normal to me. The OEM kit is ~$500 and the rest is labor which is ~$100 per hour. The kit doesn't include the sender and they run ~$100 per set.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I was told by doctor and therapist that kneeling can be a big nono because the metal in the knee has no sensitivity. Should always use a soft surface if necessary. Looking forward to getting in the water. Hopefully before the 15th.
