Mounting bracket for kicker motor

Hello all, first day on the forum. I've got a 2007 1800MX that I'm considering putting on a kicker. Kickers I've seen mount to a verticle transom, of which I don't have, typically on boat with a large outboard. There is an approx. 12-14" horizontal platform and then a 3-4" vertical portion, then the stern of the boat is rounded with trim etc. Are there mounting brackets that can mount horizontally? Anyone mount a kicker (8-9.9hp) to one of these boats? I would only use a bracket where the kicker can stay on it for transport, I'm not willing to monkey around taking it on and off.

Also, I assume I can tie in the gas line to my main gas line (4 stroke outboard of course)? I realize this doesn't protect me in the event of fouled gas, however, not really interested in having aux. gas tank in my boat, it's small enough as it is!

first off..welcome to the zoo..second off...I see alot of boats where I live with kickers on ..all they do is tilt them upwards during transport......they are usually mounted permenantly on the bracket..there are tons of types made..some that travel up and down...others are fixed....some that are tied to the outdrive so that you can steer from the helm....it all depends on how much you wanna spend...

someone with that boat model will probably chime in to offer some pic's or help..

The good news is I have simple access to that narrow platform in through the back seat to mount an underside bracket for additional strength. The glass itself must be 1/4" thick there too. The bad news is the eye for attaching the wakeboard/tube rope is situated just above that narrow rear deck so a kicker will impede harder left turns. Not sure how to overcome that. I'd rather not put in a ski pylon, just another added expense and something to take up precious space. Guess this is the trouble with an "all in one" boat?! Any ideas or suggestions anyone?
