Maxum cockpit panels
Thought I would share a project I have been working on.... I am a relatively new boater having bought a 2006 year Maxum 3300SE at the end of the 2018 season. She was in good condition but a little tired in places as you would expect at that age. My instrument panels at the helm had chipped corners from age and over tightened screw over the years so this year, having bought a CNC I set about making the lower panel that contains the cutouts for the rocker switches. I have already remade the top two panels by hand but they only had circular holes for the engine gages which is an easier proposition to do by hand. Small rectangles in Perspex would be an exercise in frustration. The final result from the CNC is very pleasing on the eye so I will go back and remake the other two now I know how. Just thought I would post as a bit of stimulation for project ideas.... we really love our boat and have many happy days on it around the Delaware River and Chesapeake Bay Area.
