Maxum Accy switches

3 quick questions from a new 2000 maxim 2700 owner!

#1 By default are the ACCY switches on the dash attached to anything?
#2 Does the fridge only run on shore power?
#3 24mph at 4100 rpms with a 5.7 Bravo 2 leg seem right?

Welcome aboard.

1. ACCY switches are typically extra unused
2. The fridge should be dual volt, work on shore power and switch over to 12V DC when disconnected.
3. This speed seems way low for that RPM. What is the WOT rpm and speed? What prop do you have? Most of these boats came with Bravo 3 (dual prop) that I know of.

Thanks, yea this has a Bravo 2. Right now I'm running a 17 pitch. Gets out of the water quick even with 5 people on board. BUT it takes 4000-4200 to stay at 22-24 mph. Haven't tried WOT yet.

I should also add that even when starting I only bring the rpm up to 4200. Pops right out of the water no problem

Mercruiser has a prop calculator that you may want to look at to see what it recommends. You did not say what the diameter of the prop is but 17" pitch sounds about what I would expect for this set up.

4200 has got to be close to WOT. that sure does sound like a lot of rmp but 5 people is a lot of extra weight. how is it with 2 people on board.
our 2800 scr (similar boat) will cruise 25 at 3200 rmp and 3 people but it's a 7.4l.

No its a single engine. You know there is really not much difference when weight is added. 4800 is redline and it has no problem achieving that. I saw a video online of a sea trial of an identical boat and the numbers were almost the exact same as mine. I think this summer I'll try a prop that will be slower out of the hole but hopefully get my rpms down at cruise.
