maxum 2700 scr 1991

Hi All, this is my first time so i hope this is correct place for my question ?, i have the 2700scr 1991 boat, and on top of the cabin it has 4 pieces of glass 2 normal opening windows and 2 fixed non opening glass, i have cracked 1 of the non opening smoked glass but it does not leak water/rain etc because i put some sealer on it but it does not look very nice if you look closely, anyway i have sent many emails to dealers over a long period now and non have been able tried to help most dont know what i mean ?, anyway i am wanting a new/used replacement for it or any information.

Dang....those are hard to come by..but here's what I'd do...can you take the glass out...completely remove it....I'd take it out and over to a glass company..they can cut you a replacement and I'd be willing to bet they can match it's color..

hi, thanks for quick reply, the problem is the glass is shaped not only L shaped but with a slight curve also, it would need a mould making, not impossible but you would think i could still buy one from maxum themself but i have never been able to contact them direct, they tell me to visit a dealership ?, and ive tried many times with no luck, but i am in the UK so its harder, most just want to sell me a new boat, if you get any more ideas please let me know, i am grateful for your reply.

I just went to the maxumboats.com site and all they have for parts catalogs for the 93 model yr..that's the oldest catalog they have listed..and I don't see any kind of bent curved glass....other than the windscreen.....really...remove the glass and take it too a quality glass shop and they can make a replacement...I've seen it done before!... :mrgreen:

also see the pinned post for maxum contact information....they might have the full set of parts catalogs and maybe able to help find the part...

Colin if you buy boat trader from the newsagent there normally is a company that advertises custom windows and hatches in acrylic and other plastics,they may be able to help,good look
