Welcome aboard

I would expect that turning 3300 rpm the boat would do close to 30 mph and be burning about 15 GPH.

Maxum2000 - That will depend on what you have loaded in the boat and the props you have on the outdrive and the condition of your hull. Assuming you have everything "stock" and a nicely polished hull (not painted), with full fuel tank, full freshwater tank, the usual boat safety equipment, a couple passengers, and a cooler of your favorite beverages, you should be getting close to 50+MPH out of that 7.4L. If I have half tanks and no passengers, and can easily get 50+ out of mine.

You should be able to get up and hold the boat on plane at around 22mph. She cruises very nicely without draining your fuel tank at 27-30mph.

Thank you for your reply.
How many gallons does the fuel tank hold? I heard they hold 70 gallons but this doesn't sound right?

Regards.
Dean.

My 2400 SCR hold 70 gallons so I would expect your boat to hold at least 60 gallons.

Hi mmwjr.
If it holds 60ish gallons @ £7 per gallon that means it costs £420 to fill?
Thanks.

Yes if the tank is completely empty, doubt that will be the case. I would fill up once the tank is down to 1/4 to 1/3 of a tank.

You could always get a bigger boat and drain the wallet faster. Mine holds 160 gallons, and burns about 1 gallon per mile under average conditions.
