Default Maxum 1800 SR3 ski locker/engine bay drain

I just purchased a new Maxum 1800 SR3 and I am looking for input concerning a drain issue between the ski locker and engine compartment. I need to know if the drain hole on these model boats is straight through.

If I stick a small rod in the hole beginning at the ski locker side and try to push it back towards the engine bay side I hit an obstruction about 4-5 inches from the back towards the tube going into the engine bay.

If there is anyone who owns a Maxum 1800SR3 and can check yours to see if it is a straight through shot I would appreciate it. The dealer is telling me the drain has two 90 degree turns and I find that hard to beleive. I checked a 20 footer on the lot and it was a straight through shot.

Thanks
