Default looking at a 2002 2900 scr,

looking at this boat,yet i dont see much information on here about them is there a reason for this?

The 2900 replaced the 2800 and the Maxum line was shut down in 2008. I haven’t heard any complaints about either model.

Default anything i need to know

Are there any specific trouble spots i should look closely at? its got twin 4.3 with 450 hours on them, its a 2002, but looks to be well kept and very clean

Nothing that no other boat of its age. Serious cracks, leaks, run it with a few people on board to verify it can achieve WOT.

Another thing I would do is take temperature readings of the engine and exhaust with a IR sensor.

To verify none are over 160* F. Helm gauges are not accurate and donít tell you if the exhaust is hot. Hot exhaust components can be a sign of internal corrosion and need replacing. Typically you get about 5 years from the exhaust if 8n salt water.

ok thanks, the risers and manifolds were replaced last year, but i will check anyway.
