Get a boat lift like Air Dock like I have.....or any other boat lift to get it out of salt water.
Your drive will last much longer. Salt water is the worst thing for any out drive...

The key to good drive life is to keep it painted, no bare aluminum. Replace the anodes when they lose more than 50% of their mass. Use Mercruiser’s Mercathode. If on shore power install a galvanic isolator.

Use the boat often. Don't let it sit and rust away...

I lived on my 3000 for 2 yrs or so both in FL and S Carolina. Use the boat and keep up on the regular maintenance. Salt water isn’t the greatest for ourselves, but mine has been in the water full time for the past 12 years with no issues.

Also, the 3000 did come with isolators already installed.

Lewmar V700 Vertical

This model does not have a free-fall feature, so if you want that, the V1 series is an option.
