Default Key Issue Need Some Help

I have a 1998 Maxum 1900XR and have now lost all keys to my boat. So wondering what is the best way to get replacement keys? Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Gabriel

Gab,
welcome to the zoo....on the lock itself..there should be a number....if you can get that number and contact your local dealer/parts....they can order the keys pre-made....if there are no numbers....you need to get a replacement lockset....nt really expensive ..just a pain in the butt to do...then you have to get into the boat and take the locks out as well as the ignition if that was lost also...

First welcome to the website Gabriel! Good to have you here!............Second of all...... I have to say is bad luck you would have no luck at all????

Let's solve this problem! Do you have mercury dealer close by? You will need your HIN number and I think there should be some numbers on your ignition switch. If so give your merc dealer a call and see if they can make you a new set with all this info.

Or call a locksmith and see if they do boats.

And if nothing else works..........you also could go to your dealer and get a new ignition switch with new keys.

I am sure if there is a better idea someone will chime in and let you know. Alot of knowledgaeble boaters are here and wanting to help.

Then when you get all this done your lost keys will show up...........go figure...........

Well I hope I got you started in the right direction............good luck and let us know what happened.
