My beloved 2004 Maxum 3100SE is now an insurance constructive total loss due to Partial engine bay submersion. Less than hr into new season launch on July 1 I had a failure of starboard engine water distribution valve causing engine bay to fill to top of cranck shaft pullies. I do not have the heart or energy to buy back and repair as I am close to retirement. She gave me and my wife 14 yrs of pure enjoyment here in the Pacific Northwest. If there is someone out there interested o taking this on for $10,000 i can send info on everything. too much info to list as I will be getting out of boating all together. I also have a triple axel trailer availiable.
The insurance company doesn't want to be in the boat ownership business. It will cost them money store the boat or dispose of the boat. A buy back is doing the insurance company a favor.
They bought the boat, it is no longer your problem. Don't try to make it someone else's problem on behalf of the insurance company.
