Smile Indicator Light

Hello all, I am wschoenne from British Columbia. Have a 2000 Maxum SCR. I am looking for a main indicator light on the main electrical panel showing red and green light.. It is a Solico part number 3252-3-50-19452, as near as I can tell. Talked to Solicoo and to Distributor Hawk, and minimum order is 250 from them.. Anyone know where I can get only one.

I'd really like to understand how you wires/mounted your 'repaired' light ... myself, and several others have been trying to solve this problem for years - we've of course run into the 'have to buy a ton' of the lights to get one, and we can never get enough 'committed' folks to buy in bulk.

The LEDs are polarity sensitive so you wire the AC light + to + and the reverse polarity light + to neutral and - to hot
I removed the lens and existing lamps, drilled a hole just big enough to install the LED.
Next time I would drill a hole in the lens as the LEDs are not bright enough to see in bright daylight!
Can not remember what I did with the ground.

Don so this is a single LED package with 2 internal LEDs with 1 filled in polarity; correct? Did you need at add a resistor or is this package rated for 110VAC?

They are 120 volt, no resister needed.
West Marine is where I got mine, Red, And Green.
I used colored ones, don't know if they had clear ones or not.
Clear ones would probably work better at lighting through the lens.

If it turn red or green it is actually 2 LEDs in the same package. Not 2 separate LEDs.

With so little long distance cruising the last two years, the budget for fuel meant plenty of loose change ($82.60 @ Custom Marine) to splurge and get stuff that wasn't necessary, but I still wanted to replace the dim/out lights. SO HAPPY I did ... piece of mind is worth the $$ when you have it available. Easy wiring. Snap in fit was perfect.
