Default Impeller Replacement

I just bought a 1994 maxum 1700sr with a alpha 1 drive. The boat has been sitting for 2 years. I would like to replace the impeller. Is this something a backyard mechinac can do? Is it loacated in the lower unit? and how hard is it to get to? Also I am looking for the orginal bimini top and cockpit enclosure for the boat. If any one out there can help me with these things I would be forever greatful

Default Impeller

I did mine on my 94 last summer in the back yard. The job is not difficult. Just be sure to follow all instructions. I put a little oil on the impeller before I installed the houseing and it made it a bit easier to install.

Good luck
