Default I'm ready for Summer Vacation

I just got approved for my vacation this year. I'm throwing all my eggs in one basket. 28 Consecutive nights on the boat!!!

This will be the longest amount of time off from work (or school) I've had since I was around 13 years old. (Yes, I started collecting paychecks when I was around 13. I had 3 jobs (concurrently) in my senior year in High School).

One of these weeks is without my wife since she can't get as much time off. She is going to take a local 'puddle-jumper' (Think of the old tv show 'Wings'), to meet up with me because she will need to go back home to work for one of the weeks.

I take much less time off than she does. She is so ecstatic that I'm taking the time off, she doesn't even mind being a 'boat widow', as she calls it, for a week or so.

Good Morning Shrew!
Taking a vacation is like add x number of days to your life in my opinion!
Enjoy it as it adds to your life.
I took so much time off before retiring that I never worked a full week for over a year!
Loved every minute of it even though we where working (read clearing) our retirement property!
Have fun!
Don

Good for you shrew! Practicing retirement are you?

You have a good woman there. Hope the two of you have a great time without any boat issues.

When I was still working for CNW railroad , my last year there I took 4 weeks vacation. It was fantastic! It was much harder going back to work though.....

Enjoy your time off!
