Default Ice Maker

Anyone have tips for removing the cockpit ice maker on my 2004 3100se?
It pops the ground fault breaker as soon as its turned on so I thought I would remove it and try to fix it over the winter. If not repairable where could I get a door to convert the compartment to storage?

Usually, there is a trim piece that needs to be removed to expose the mounting screws for removal. White Acryllic is a good choice to make a door. You would need to make the door yourself. Starboard/Kingboard is also a good material and a bit easier to work with.
