hydraulic leak

I have a 1999 2400 SRC, the boat stays in the water. I check it the other day and the outdrive was lowered. I tried to raise it and it wouldn't raise. Checked the reservoir for the hydraulic, it was empty. I filled and the outdrive did raise, but in a matter of minutes it went back down. Checked the reservoir and it was empty. That's when I did notice that there was oil under the engine. I got the boat out of the water, cleaned up the oil, but now need to investigate where the leak is. It does not seem to be coming from the pump, as I did not see any oil signs around it.
Suggestions?

There are two hydraulic lines that come from the pump assembly and go a manifold on the bottom of the transom assembly. On the outside of this manifold is where the four braided hydraulic lines connect that go to the two cylinders. Since it’s leaking in the bilge it must be one of the two lines leaking. These are a PIA to replace with the engine installed. I know someone who was able to replace them by removing the manifold which attaches from the outside and is held on by two studs. The hard part is routing the lines through that area.

Thanks, I was able to get some diagrams and it does look what your friend did is possible. That will be my way forward

Just as an update, this process worked, wasn’t easy, but would have been impossible from the inside since all the work was behind the engine.
