Default Hull connected to top? More advice please

This might seem like a stupid question but is the hull supposed to be ridged to the top where the rubbing straight is? mine is loose about half way down on both sides but it looks like it's almost ment to be like that?

If not I'll glass it from the inside while the over sized "door cards" are out

Thanks

Gaz....huh????...are you talking about where the 2 halves of the hull join up??...where the rub rail is???....the 2 halves are joined and glued together as well as riveted and screwed in....the rub rail acts a place to hide the rivets and screws...if your upper section is loose from the lower...something didn't get added at the factory...

2nded... you have a problem if they're loose which needs addressing as it'll only get worse.

Decks/hulls can split but can be fixed relatively easily.

Yup, sounds like your weekends just been planned for you!

I consider the use of a Kitty Hair, then coated laminated over with matts. That should fill any voids in nicely..
