Let me google that for you :

Hi, I present myself as the buyer of a 1997 Maxum 2350MD (same model as 2300SR), I live in Spain and here there is no information about this boat. I have an urgent problem and that is that I have to change the aluminum fuel tank, since it is broken and gasoline escapes. I would appreciate someone who knows how to do it, tell me about it, with photos or any kind of help. Since I must change it already. Thanks for your help.

Thanks, not sure but is the boat a cuddy cabin or cruiser?

A cuddy cabin will be easier to replace the fuel tank than a cruiser. If a cuddy the deck above the tank needs to be cut to gain access. Then foam and the tanks hold downs removed and finally the tank which includes the sender wires, fill and vent hoses. If a cruiser the drive and engine need to be removed then the bulkhead behind the tank and mid-berth floor to gain access to the tank.

I recommend you ask a local boat repair facility what the cost would be and negotiate the sale price based on that. Example same market price for the boat with a good tank costs $10,000 and the quote to replace the tank is $3,000 then a fair price is $7,000.
