Default got my boat bug baaaaaaad

well...went to the boat to check her out...make sure everything is ok...stopped by to see a boat buddy and his dad....then went to my boat to make sure everything is ok and drain the bilge...man....if the weather wasn't so friggin bad right now....I'd love to take the boat out and goof around...but the weather sucks...we're having high winds...rain off and on....the river is going crazy out there....the wind generated waves are big....

just ugly...and I want my boat fixed ....gotta wait one more day......tomorrow I'm supposed to meet with my mechanic to get her rewired and fixed......

dang winter sucks...

oh yeah....the Mister heater works really really well...tried it out in the cockpit and it heated up really quickly....didn't take but about 10 min to tell the temps were climbing.....very worthwhile to have....

We went to Ohio to visit family for Christmas and stopped by the boat on the way home today. Ended up staying the night. We'll be back Thursday night for New Years weekend. It may get cold but we still boat year around.

WAY jealous of you guys! Mine's been in storage since late October, won't see it again until mid-late April. Just signed the check & the papers to make the upgrade officially mine so I've REALLY got it bad!!!

Steve, I am feeling your pain! I've been trying to get the boat out since our last cruise the middle of Sept, and either other obligations or the weather got in the way. The last few weeks have been especially nasty with the "pineapple express" rolling through. My boat's on a trailer so a little more prep and planning is needed than if it were slipped. Now I'm resigned to waiting for March or April. Meanwhile I've got the radar project in the planning stage....

I swung by the marina yesterday, but must have missed you, Steve. I did my weekly water draining and checked the cabin heater. All looks good, but the ol' girl is getting pretty filthy just sitting there. I'm gonna have to put a wash on it soon. My sister is in town for the Holidays, but 20-35 knot winds just don't sound appealing to me, even if just for a short day trip. So far this Winter Cruising has been a bust.

Maybe the next few months!
