Default Generator etc

Picking new to me boat up tomorrow.

Planning on using either a portable generator or more likely bank of lifepo4 batteries to have everything work when not on shorepower

If I use the generator, should I just plus in shore power connector to generator or is there an alternate route

Congrats on the new boat. If you go with batteries you're going to need an inverter to power "everything" as well hooking up the batteries to a charger.

I use a portable generator all the time. Yes, the generator plugs into the shore power. Just make sure you use it safely and have a couple CO detectors on board. One other thing to note is that depending on the size of the generator you will have to watch which items you run at the same time.
