Default Gear ratio

Hi , can someone please help me ?
We have a maxum 1750sr 3.0l mercruiser from 2003 with collision damage on the lower gear unit .
To order a new i need to determine the gear ratio of the drive.
The problem is that we only bring the lower back home and the boat is still in Spain , so serial numbers or counting teeth isn't an option.
Maybe someone with the same boat can tell me what the gear ratio is ?
Kind regards Dirk

Unfortunately, there are a number of options for that year/engine. To be certain, you order the right drive will entail getting the serial number off the upper housing of the drive or counting the drive gear teeth, all in the upper housing.

I agree. You can try contacting Mercruiser help but they will most likely ask for the serial number.
