I have a 1998 2800SCR. Anyone out there have a good source for OEM replacement parts? Also a good source for replacement carpeting. It seems that every website lists almost all the Maxum models except the 2800SCR.

Welcome aboard! Lots of links posted here over the years, so this forum is a great spot to start a search. GreatLakesSkipper is one of the few sites that carries some old OEM inventory, but most of the time you just need to find the manufacturer of the original part.

Thanks for the info. I was aware of Great Lakes Skipper and have used them before. It's just getting harder to find the right parts.

Boats aren't like automobiles. There aren't really OEM parts, per se.

The hull and deck are laid up and married together by the manufacturer. They build the stringers, bulkheads and cabinets in place. The rest of the parts are 3rd party.

Cleats, Lights, throughulls: Perko
Tables: Todd Industries
Head: Jabsco
Fridge: Norcold
Stove: Origo
Pumps: Jabsco, johnson, etc
Heat/AC: Marine Air
Gauges: Faria
Windshield: Taylor
Hatches: Bomar

And so on.

Mercruiser makes the engine and outdrive.

Marine Chandlers will have most of the parts. For online check the following:
